I’m excited to showcase a variety of brand new disco ball paintings this weekend and next as part of the 2022 East Austin Studio Tour!

Because of the pandemic, I haven’t participated in East since 2019 but I’m thrilled to be back at a new venue alongside nine other fellow artists at Hey Now Interiors (1206 Alamo St). For those of you following the Austin Studio Tour map, I’m at stop 466 and you can come see me and my work from 12-6pm this Saturday and Sunday (11/12 - 11/13) and next weekend (11/19 - 11/20) at the same time.

Many of you, I presume, are familiar with my disco ball work and for the first time I’ve incorporated glitter onto the surface to produce an added glimmering effect. I’ve greatly enjoyed exploring the use of glitter in my work over the last year, and I’ve just now started making disco balls with it. Glitter is such a polarizing material and challenging perceptions about its inclusion in art has been eye opening for me.

In addition to these new originals, I will have a collection of prints on paper and disco ball canvas prints available. A selection of smaller original work will also be on display. Disco ball coasters and stickers will be available for purchase as well.

I’ll have a full price sheet to peruse at my booth and of course I will be there to chat art and answer any questions you may have. Street parking is available and free drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) will be served. Full details about the Austin Studio Tour can be found on their website.
