Not Sorry Art Holiday Shopping Guide

A fun Christmas still life

The holiday season is always an exciting time for small businesses and Not Sorry Art is no exception; this year I will have my largest assortment of art and merchandise available for a variety of your gift-giving needs. With my showing at East Austin Studio Tour beginning next weekend and Thanksgiving coming shortly thereafter (and therefore Black Friday), I thought I would put all of my holiday shopping details in one place.

This way, you’ll know where you can see me and my art in person as well as when my holiday deals take place on my site. (Keep this page bookmarked!) Without further ado, here’s the Not Sorry Art Holiday Shopping Guide™:

Black Friday Sale

Thanksgiving is November 24 this year so that of course means Black Friday is November 25. But for my email subscribers, the Black Friday sale begins Thanksgiving Day, so be sure to subscribe to my newsletter if you haven’t already to gain first access.

Here’s the discount details for the Black Friday sale, which runs from 11/24 through 11/28 (ends at 11:59 PM CT):

  • 20 % off prints (paper and canvas)

  • Free shipping site-wide

The free shipping detail may seem minor, but remember that originals can be pricey to ship so it is a really nice deal if you’ve had your eye on a painting for yourself or someone else. The 20% off discount only applies to paper and canvas prints, but free shipping is a site-wide deal for Black Friday. This is the only time of year for free shipping so take advantage!

The discount code will be sent out on Thanksgiving morning, so check your inbox in between bites.

Seasonal Products

This is my second straight year offering disco ball coasters, and they’ve been a hit. I’ve recently restocked my store after the first batch went quickly, and these variety packs make a great gift for anyone in your life who drinks beverages.

I’m also excited for a new product I’m offering this year: disco ball ornaments! This is another take on my disco balls that many of you have requested, and on Monday, November 7 I’ll be posting these hand-painted ornaments in a variety of styles. There will only be 10 ornaments available, so act fast.

New: Canvas Prints

My disco ball canvas prints are a popular option for the disco-inclined who want the look and feel of an original, and now I’ve extended this offering to include canvas prints inspired by many other original favorites.

Three size options are available for the rectangular prints wrapped on wood, while the disco ball canvas prints come in seven sizes ranging from 8” to 36”.

Veggie Turntable Collection for No Kid Hungry

On November 18, I’ll be releasing a collection of five vegetable-inspired turntables with all proceeds going to one of my favorite charities, No Kid Hungry.

My most recent one is a fun spin (😉) on a potato…

Some people have said this potato is scary and I don’t think that’s very nice lol.

Texas Painting Retreat

Spots are still available for my first ever painting retreat in Texas, which will be March 22-27 in Wimberley, Texas. This beautiful, secluded venue is located on 100 acres of Hill Country land and features several luxurious lodging accommodations to choose from. All meals are included along with dessert every night.

We’ll be learning still life and landscape techniques while painting plein air during a lovely time of year in Central Texas. I hope you’ll join me for some painting fun; full details about the retreat can be found here

Where You Can See My Art (and Meet Me 😊)

EAST - East Austin Studio Tour (November 12-13 & November 19-20)

I’m returning to the East Austin Studio Tour for the first time since 2019 and I’m excited to unveil a new collection of disco balls along with some prints and various merchandise. My booth will be set up at Hey Now Interiors (1206 Alamo St.) alongside several other artists.

Brea Gallery - Pure, Unadulterated Joy (December 4)

My group show at Brea Gallery in Brea, California, Pure, Unadulterated Joy, closes on Dec. 4 and I’ll be there to wrap up the festivities. If you haven’t checked out the exhibit yet, I highly encourage you to do so; I have some of my teenage still life work in the show as well as a few disco balls, and the colors abound among several other bright and bold artists. Read more about that show here

Hangar Studios (Ongoing)

Finally, a collection of my work is on view starting this weekend for the West Austin Studio Tour at Hangar Studios in Austin (3625 Menchaca Road, Ste. 101, Austin, Tx 78704). This is a lovely space owned by Austin artist Ella Nilsson, and I’m delighted to have some of my still life and botanical work on display in her gallery.

West Austin Studio Tour is November 5-6 & November 12-13, but this work will be up through the holidays. To view the art outside of the studio tour, reserve an appointment on their website.

Check out the Hangar Studios website here.
