I’m excited to announce my first ever Texas painting retreat right in my backyard of Central Texas! Join me for this Hill Country adventure March 22-27, 2023, in Wimberley, Texas, as I share my techniques for painting landscape and still life while providing guided instruction to help you improve your skills in this serene setting.

Located 45 minutes southwest of Austin, the Camino Ranchito venue offers a quiet respite from the city lights while still being nearby.

About The retreat

  • Students will study plein air and still life techniques taught by Sari each day

  • Through demos and 1-1 instruction, students will gain a better understanding of color theory, drawing, value, linear perspective and more

  • Artists of all levels and mediums are welcome to attend. The lessons will be taught with acrylics.

  • Located on over 100 acres of Texas Hill Country land in Wimberley, the Camino Ranchito retreat venue is an idyllic setting for creativity and relaxation

  • A variety of lodging options are available to suit your needs. Indoor and outdoor dining, a meditation studio, a sauna and walking trails complement your stay to provide a one-of-a-kind art experience.

I live nearby. Do  I have to stay on-site?

You do not need to stay overnight on the property in order to attend the retreat. There are spots available for students who wish to drive in each day. Click here for drive-in reservations.

What art materials should I bring to the retreat?

All students will need to bring their own paints, brushes, painting surfaces  (paper, canvas, wood etc.), palette, medium, spray bottle and sketchbook. A comprehensive list of supplies will be provided to students ahead of the retreat.

What art supplies does the retreat have on-site?

We will provide easels, tables and chairs as well as jars and paper towels.

What if I need to cancel?

All bookings are fully refundable up to 30 days after purchase. Cancelation after more than 30 days since purchase will result in 50% refund.

Retreat is non-refundable within 40 days of start date. 

How far is the retreat venue from Austin?

45 minutes away.

What if I have special dietary needs?

The meals are vegan and vegetarian friendly. 

Is there an art store nearby?

There are not many great options for art supplies near the retreat venue. Austin and San Marcos are the closest cities with art stores. We suggest bringing everything you need to avoid a lengthy trip during the retreat.
