Artist Sari Shryack is hosting a three day painting workshop focused on color at Old Taylor High in Taylor, Texas, August 22-24, 2025! Presented in partnership with Every Time Institute.
Students will strengthen their eye for arrangement, design, and storytelling through playful, hands-on exercises and still life concepts

About The Workshop
Students will…
Deepen their understanding of how colors interact and influence one another in a composition.
Learn to build light, depth, and focus using intentional color relationships.
Expand grasp of color fundamentals to bring more life, style, and clarity to paintings.
Artists of all levels and mediums are welcome to attend. The lessons will be taught with acrylics.
Students will bring their own supplies

What art materials should I bring to the workshop?
All students should plan to bring their own paints, brushes, painting surfaces (paper, canvas, wood etc.), palette, medium, spray bottle and sketchbook. A comprehensive list of supplies will be provided to students ahead of the workshop.
What art supplies does the workshop have on-site?
We will provide tables and chairs as well as jars and paper towels. Coffee, water and snacks will also be provided.
How far is the workshop venue from Austin?
35 minutes away.
Is this a workshop or a retreat?
This event is a workshop, which means there are no overnight accommodations or meals included in the fee as there would be for a retreat. The workshop runs from 9 am to 5 pm each day.
